GROUP OF TEENAGE BOYS EXCITED TO GO TO FRIEND’S HOUSE TO WATCH EACH OTHER PLAY VIDEO GAMES

By Benji Elkins:

Ready to unwind and kickback on a Friday afternoon, high school juniors Max, Dylan, Cras, and Ben were more than excited to walk to Dylan’s house and take turns watching each other play the hit video game “Counter-Strike”. “Oh well it’s awesome!” reported 16-year-old Cras Jacobs, “We get to raid Dylan’s snack cabinet and then go down to his basement. He has a nice dog too that I sometimes pet.” Dylan’s mom reported being confused by the whole endeavor. “Sometimes I come down the stairs to ask if anyone needs anything and it’s almost always Dylan playing video games by himself while Ben, Cras, and Max sit on the couch on their phones silent.” Others such as Max Tenner, however, contest this claim. “I love Mrs. Rhetter and everything, I mean she always gives us snacks, but she was wrong when she said we don’t talk to each other. Sometimes, if Dylan or Cras makes a really good play I’ll say ‘nice”. Although the boys refrain from any real conversation, the four still look forward to going to Dylan's house every Saturday night, mostly because Dylan's mom is the only one that let her kid buy it.
